Métodos para contornar a sensibilidade no clareamento dental: revisão de literatura

RESUMO
A sensibilidade dentária está entre os principais efeitos adversos decorrentes do clareamento, estando presente em 60 a 90% dos casos durante e/ou após o procedimento. Dessa forma verificou-se por meio de revisão de literatura os fatores que influenciam na ocorrência da sensibilidade dental em decorrência do clareamento, bem como, conhecer os métodos existentes para contornar esse efeito adverso. O período de buscas das publicações foi de março a junho de 2020. Para este trabalho foram utilizadas publicações disponíveis em meio eletrônico ou impresso utilizando artigos científicos das bases de dados, como Scielo, Pubmed e Google Acadêmico. Para os critérios de inclusão foram selecionados artigos de pesquisa e revisões sobre clareamento dental em dentes vitais e sensibilidade dentária. Foram excluídos artigos sobre clareamento em dentes não vitais, relato de casos e artigos que não condizem com o tema. Trincas, LCNC, lesões cariosas e integridade das restaurações estão entre as principais causas de desconforto associado à sensibilidade dentária durante o clareamento. Fatores relacionados à técnica clareadora podem provocar aumento da sensibilidade dentária. É possível utilizar métodos dessensibilizantes adequados no clareamento dental para diminuir tal sensibilidade. Assim, o planejamento de um procedimento clareador efetivo e com menores índices de sensibilidade deve estar pautado na remoção dos fatores etiológicos da sensibilidade dentária, na adoção de materiais e medidas adequadas inerentes às técnicas clareadoras, bem como, da utilização de métodos dessensibilizantes.
