Cisto Ósseo Simples em Mandíbula: Relato de Caso com Abordagem Conservadora
Resumo
Objetivo: O cisto ósseo simples (COS) é uma cavidade patológica intraóssea benigna que pode se localizar em qualquer osso do corpo, principalmente ossos longos. Em 2017, foi enquadrado pela Organização Mundial da Saúde (OMS) no grupo de “lesões de células gigantes e cistos ósseos”. Nos maxilares sua ocorrência é incomum, pois corresponde a aproximadamente 1% de todos os cistos da maxila e mandíbula. Jovens nas duas primeiras décadas de vida são os mais afetados, embora indivíduos de qualquer idade possam ser acometidos.A lesão, geralmente assintomática, muitas vezes é detectada em exames radiográficos odontológicos de rotina. Diante disso, o conhecimento das características clínicas, radiográficas e métodos de tratamento do COS é fundamental para a prática clínica do cirurgião dentista. Descrição: O objetivo desse trabalho foi relatar o caso clínico de um paciente jovem e assintomático que manifestou um cisto ósseo simples em região anterior de mandíbula. A lesão foi detectada em uma radiografia panorâmica para avaliação de dentes terceiros molares e melhor evidenciada em imagens de tomografia computadorizada por feixe cônico. Foi adotada abordagem conservadora da lesão. Conclusões: Este trabalho contribuiu para o entendimento do processo diagnóstico do COS, envolvendo a associação entre as características clínicas e imaginológicas da lesão, possibilitando o estabelecimento da conduta adequada.
