Reviewing Redshift and Cosmological Distances: The Sunyaev-Zel’dovich Effect and the LTB Perspective
Resumo
Present article carries out an objective review of the Lemaître-Tolman-Bondi inhomogeneous cosmology, emphasizing its main theoretical and observational features, showing that up to this moment it is not possible to reject such model based on current data. The model is fine-tuned to type Ia supernovae data. Sunyaev-Zel’dovich effect is discussed in that cosmology.

O presente artigo faz uma revisão objetiva da cosmologia não homogênea de Lemaître-Tolman-Bondi, enfatizando suas principais características teóricas e observacionais, mostrando que até o momento não é possível rejeitar tal modelo com base nos dados atuais. O modelo é ajustado para dados de supernovas do tipo Ia. O efeito Sunyaev-Zel'dovich é discutido nessa cosmologia.
