AGREGADOS LEUCOPLAQUETÁRIOS E SEU USO NA ODONTOLOGIA: REVISÃO DE LITERATURA

Resumo


Os agregados leucoplaquetários foram desenvolvidos com objetivo de intensificar a resposta regenerativa das células do próprio organismo, acelerando o processo de reparo e cicatrização dos tecidos. Objetivo: discutir informações atuais sobre o potencial clínico, perspectivas e limitações, assim como descrever o uso dos agregados leucoplaquetários nas diversas áreas da odontologia. Metodologia: se trata de uma revisão de literatura de caráter narrativo, utilizando base de dados online, como Pubmed, Scielo e Lilacs, utilizando as palavras-chave “Cicatrização” “Odontologia” e “Fibrina rica em plaquetas”. Foram usados como critério de inclusão artigos no idioma inglês e português, no período de 2006 a 2023, sem restrição com relação ao tipo de pesquisa, buscando dados relevantes às técnicas usadas e resultados obtidos com a utilização dos agregados leucoplaquetários na odontologia. Resultados: A literatura apresenta uma gama de evidências, em várias áreas da odontologia, que evidenciam os resultados positivos da utilização dos agregados leucoplaquetários. Logo, há várias evidências na literatura que sustentam o uso desse biomaterial para a cicatrização de lesões cirúrgicas, devido suas características de regeneração tecidual e de regulação inflamatória. Conclusão: Resultados clínicos positivos têm sido apontados na cirurgia, periodontia, implantodontia e ainda, na endodontia. Contudo, apesar dos resultados clínicos promissores, sua eficácia geral permanece debatida até hoje. No entanto, sua facilidade de uso, aliada ao baixo custo o torna um biomaterial ideal para a realização de mais estudos.
