MANEJO MINIMAMENTE INVASIVO DE LESÕES CARIOSAS NÃO CAVITADAS INATIVAS: RELATO DE CASO CLÍNICO

Resumo


Objetivo: apresentar um caso de resolução estética de mancha branca cariosa em dente anterior de forma minimamente invasiva por meio de microabrasão de esmalte. Relato de caso: Paciente do sexo feminino, 20 anos, compareceu à clínica odontológica do Hospital Universitário de Brasília (HUB) queixando-se de manchas nos dentes da frente. Ao exame clínico, foram constatadas lesões não cavitadas inativas (LNCI) visíveis na face vestibular dos dentes 11, 21, 22, 24 e 34; e na face oclusal do 16. Como forma de manejo minimamente invasivo, optou-se pela técnica de microabrasão. O protocolo de microabrasão foi realizado apenas após controle das lesões ativas e realização das restaurações necessárias. O agente abrasivo utilizado foi um gel contendo ácido clorídrico a 6,6%, e micropartículas de carboneto de silício (Opalustre, Ultradent, Brasil), aplicado em uma fina camada sobre as manchas brancas. Conclusões: Através do planejamento proposto, obteve-se êxito na resolução estética do caso de modo conservador. Dessa forma, para lesões cariosas não cavitadas, a utilização da microabrasão demonstra-se efetiva, reduzindo a opacidades melhorando a estética do paciente, com a possibilidade de emprego mais amplo em comparação com outras técnicas, diminuindo a propensão à colonização bacteriana ao tornar a camada de esmalte mais lisa, densa e mineralizada.
