FATORES ASSOCIADOS AO TESTE POSITIVO DE COVID-19 NO NÚCLEO FAMILIAR: UM ESTUDO TRANSVERSAL

Resumo


Objetivo: o objetivo deste estudo foi investigar possíveis fatores associados ao teste positivo para COVID-19 em crianças de 3 a 10 anos e/ou no núcleo familiar. Materiais e Métodos: para isso, foi aplicado um questionário a adultos responsáveis por crianças entre 3 e 10 anos de idade, residentes no Brasil. Os dados foram obtidos através de perguntas objetivas e as respostas foram dadas em escala Likert de cinco pontos, variando de 0 a 4. Resultados: das 541 respostas, 466 foram validadas de acordo com os critérios de elegibilidade. Por meio de análises de regressão, foi identificado que sentir-se frequentemente preocupado em ter contraído a doença aumentou em 2,23 vezes a chance de ter testado positivo (OR: 2,23; 95% IC: 1.25-3.98; P<0.01). Ficar em casa com um funcionário enquanto os responsáveis não estão, aumentou em 1,92 vezes a chance da criança ou alguém do núcleo familiar ter testado positivo para Covid-19 (OR: 1,92; 95% IC: 1.08-3.38; P= 0.02). Conclusão: o número de testes positivos para COVID-19 em crianças de 3 a 10 anos e/ou núcleo familiar foi associado, de forma direta, com uma maior preocupação em ter contraído a doença, e com a presença de funcionários e/ou parentes como cuidadores da criança na ausência do responsável.
