Resumo

Este ensaio objetiva refletir sobre a efetividade da política de democratização do acesso à Educação Superior no Distrito Federal, apontando que, quando há o incremento e expansão do acesso à educação, os efeitos sociais esperados serão menores e terão a qualidade e seu poder social comprometidos. Se um grupo social possui hegemonia sobre determinados bens e serviços, exercerá controle a seu acesso, para garantir o privilégio.

This essay aims to reflect on the effectiveness of the policy of democratization of access to higher education in the Federal District, Brazil, pointing out that, when there is an increase and expansion of access to education, the expected social effects will be smaller and have the quality and its committed social power. If a social group has hegemony over certain goods and services, usually exercise control to the access in order to ensure the own privilege.
