TEORÍA DE LA MODIFICABILIDAD COGNITIVA UN MODELO PARA SER APLICADO EN LA ESCUELA THEORY OFCOGNITIVE MODIFIABILITYA MODELTO BE APPLIEDAT SCHOOL

Resumo

El artículo presenta la Teoría de la Modificabilidad Cognitiva, un modelo que pretende generar estrategias
específicas para estudiantes que se encuentran con un nivel reducido de modificabilidad, actitud pasiva hacia
tareas cognitivas, ausencia de motivación y nivel negativo de auto concepto. Introduce y discute el rol del
mediador mientras el principal agente de cambio y transformación de las estructuras deficientes de estos
estudiantes y muestra que la intervención del mediador favorece también los procesos emocionales. El
modelo se centra en el principio de auto plasticidad cerebral que permitirá al sujeto adaptarse y responder a
las exigencias de la cultura donde se inserta y a las diversas exigencias escolares. Es un modelo optimista, al
sostener que todo ser humano puede cambiar, independiente de la edad, alguna afección del sistema nervioso
central o de las condiciones cognitivas, sociales, económicas y culturales adversas.
